The ABN aims to:

 promote love and conservation of nature in all Burundian social categories through sensitization, awareness raising, and environmental information dissemination,

 gather friends of nature around the goal of its preservation and restoration as well as sustainable use of natural resources, on which Burundian populationsdepend,

 develop activities of its programs to contribute to nature conservation and sustainable use of natural resources in Burundi,

 participate in various meetings and fora organized in the fields of nature conservation and sustainable use of natural resources at national, regional and international levels.

To achieve its goals and objectives, ABN will:

 promote cooperation with national, regional and international environmental associations whose mission is indeed nature conservation and sustainable use of natural resources,

 seek the cooperation of any othernational, regional or international organizations or institutions interested in issues of nature conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.
